Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Litigation Paralegal to support a busy civil litigation and law enforcement defense practice in Tempe, Arizona. This role is well suited for a legal specialist who can manage case materials, coordinate discovery activities, and help attorneys stay prepared through each phase of litigation. The position offers the opportunity to contribute to complex defense matters while working in a supportive environment with strong benefits. This is a 37.5 hour / week position with full benefits package.
Responsibilities:
• Prepare, organize, and maintain case files for civil litigation and law enforcement defense matters from initial filing through resolution.
• Coordinate deposition logistics, assemble related materials, and help attorneys track testimony, exhibits, and follow-up items.
• Draft, format, and file legal documents such as motions, pleadings, notices, and supporting correspondence in accordance with court rules.
• Assist with trial preparation by organizing exhibits, witness materials, timelines, and hearing or courtroom binders.
• Review records and case documents to identify key facts, deadlines, and items requiring attorney attention.
• Manage litigation calendars, monitor filing dates, and support case progress to ensure timely completion of assignments.
• At least 3 years of paralegal experience in litigation support.• Background supporting civil litigation matters, preferably within a defense-focused legal environment.
• Practical experience assisting with depositions, including preparation of exhibits and related documentation.
• Proven ability to support trial readiness through organization of case materials and attorney preparation.
• Familiarity with drafting and handling motions and other court-related filings.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines accurately.
