Job Title: MachinistJob Description

This role supports a modern design center by performing precision machining operations and contributing to the production of high-quality components. You will focus primarily on hands-on machining while having the opportunity to learn and grow into programming responsibilities over time. The position suits someone who enjoys working with advanced equipment in a clean, well-organized, and temperature-controlled environment.

Responsibilities
  • Operate machining equipment to produce precision parts according to specifications and quality standards.
  • Set up machines, select appropriate tools, and adjust settings to ensure accurate and efficient machining operations.
  • Assist with programming tasks for CNC equipment as training and skills develop.
  • Troubleshoot machining issues, including tool wear, dimensional inaccuracies, and equipment alarms, to minimize downtime.
  • Inspect finished parts for accuracy and quality, making adjustments as needed to maintain tight tolerances.
  • Follow established safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area.
  • Collaborate with team members at the design center to support ongoing projects and production needs.
Essential Skills
  • Hands-on machining experience and proficiency operating machining equipment.
  • Ability to troubleshoot machining and equipment issues effectively.
  • Willingness and ability to learn CNC programming in a production environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Ability to follow technical instructions, drawings, and specifications.
  • Solid problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to resolving issues on the shop floor.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience with CNC programming.
  • Familiarity with Mastercam or similar CAM software.
  • Prior experience troubleshooting complex machining processes.
  • Comfort working in a structured, process-driven manufacturing or design environment.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $58000.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
