Key Qualifications:
- Current and active Louisiana SPED Early Intervention (Birth-5) Certificate required
- Strong knowledge of special education procedures and IEP implementation
- Experience with PreK and Kindergarten curriculum and instructional planning
- Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, staff, and families to promote student success
- Excellent organizational and communication skills, with a commitment to fostering an inclusive classroom environment
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging, individualized instruction to early childhood special education students
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in cooperation with multidisciplinary teams
- Foster a supportive classroom setting that addresses both academic and social-emotional growth
- Regularly assess student progress and adjust teaching strategies as needed
- Collaborate with families and caregivers to set goals and share progress updates
