Job Description

Make an impact in the lives of K–12 students by supporting their academic, emotional, and social growth as a School Psychologist for the upcoming school year. This contract position is fully on-site in the Mobile, AL area, where you’ll collaborate with fellow professionals and provide essential services across a variety of schools. The assignment begins October 1, 2026, and extends through May 26, 2027, with potential renewal based on performance.

Candidates will be interviewed starting August 26, 2026. Please note that interviews will pause from August 31 to September 4, with availability reopening thereafter.

Qualifications:

  • Valid and active School Psychology license for the state of Alabama (AL)
  • Ability to provide proof of current licensure upon request
  • Experience working with students in K–12 educational settings strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with assessment tools, special education processes, and intervention strategies
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with staff, students, and families
  • Adaptability for working in an itinerant position and/or at multiple sites as needed

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psychoeducational assessments and interpret test results
  • Assist with eligibility determination for special education services
  • Consult with educators, parents, and support staff regarding student needs and interventions
  • Contribute to the development of IEPs and behavioral plans
  • Deliver crisis intervention, as required
  • Support the emotional and mental well-being of students
  • Travel between campuses as assigned, depending on assessment and service needs
