About this role

We're hiring a Journeyman Carpenter to join a commercial construction crew on a project in Fletcher, NC. You will work on-site performing layout, formwork, framing and finish carpentry on mid- to large-scale projects. Expect a hands-on role with clear daily tasks and a crew-focused environment. Typical schedule is day shifts with regular overtime as needed. You'll report to the site foreman, follow site safety procedures and keep work areas organized. This role is for a hardworking carpenter who reads plans, uses hand and power tools safely, and takes pride in clean, accurate work.

What you'll do
  • Read and follow blueprints, layout lines, and project drawings for framing and finish work
  • Build, set and strip concrete forms and install embeds, anchors and blockouts
  • Measure, cut and assemble wood, metal framing, stairs, doors, and trim using hand and power tools
  • Install temporary bracing, scaffolding components, and ensure assemblies meet plumb and level
  • Maintain tools and equipment, keep the work area clean, and report material needs to the foreman
  • Follow site safety plans, attend toolbox talks, and cooperate with inspections and quality checks

What we're looking for
  • Minimum 3 years commercial carpentry experience on concrete, framing, and finish scope
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, layout points, and cut lists
  • Proven skill with hand tools, saws, drills, levels, and layout instruments
  • Physical stamina to lift, carry and position materials (frequent lifting up to 50 lbs)
  • Reliable transportation to site, punctual attendance, and the ability to work overtime when required
  • Willingness to follow site safety rules and participate in drug screening and background checks

Qualifications
  • OSHA 10-hour construction card (preferred)
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Completed carpentry apprenticeship or journeyman-level experience
  • Ability to pass drug screen and background check
  • Comfortable communicating in English on-site; bilingual abilities are a plus
