Special Education Teacher - Gallina, New Mexico

Make a meaningful impact as a Special Education Teacher and Case Manager supporting 6th through 8th grade students. In this full-time contract position, you’ll work Monday through Thursday from 7:45 am to 4:15 pm, focusing on a manageable caseload of approximately 12 students. Qualifications and Preferred Experience:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification
• Experience serving middle school students, ideally in a school or district environment
• Strong case management skills, including IEP development and progress monitoring
• Ability to create and adapt differentiated lesson plans for diverse learners
• Excellent communication skills for collaborating with families, staff, and related service providers
• Dedication to fostering an inclusive and supportive atmosphere for students with varied needs

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver specialized instruction aligned with IEP goals for 6th to 8th grade students
• Develop, monitor, and update Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
• Coordinate and facilitate IEP meetings with families and multidisciplinary teams
• Provide academic and behavioral support, assessing and addressing student progress
• Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with relevant laws and regulations
• Collaborate actively with general education teachers to ensure student inclusion and success
• Serve as a reliable resource for families and staff regarding special education practices
