About this job
Join Our Mission as a Youth Advocate at CAPSA!
Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children, youth, and families? At CAPSA, we're on a mission to create safe homes, empower survivors, and end domestic violence in our community. As a Youth Advocate, you'll play a vital role in helping children and their families heal, grow, and thrive.
What You'll Do:
- Advocate for Kids: Provide trauma-informed support to youth ages birth to 17, helping them build confidence, emotional regulation, and life skills.
- Collaborate with Parents: Work closely with parents to align youth goals with family goals, creating cohesive and supportive experiences.
- Lead Fun & Impactful Groups: Organize engaging lesson plans and activities for children's groups, ensuring learning is fun and meaningful.
- Be a Community Connector: Serve as CAPSA's go-to resource for youth services in Cache and Rich Counties, building strong partnerships and advocating for families.
What We're Looking For:
- A bachelor's degree in social work, childhood development, or a related field is preferred-but passion and experience matter most!
- At least 2 years of experience working with children in social services, education, or crisis settings.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills, plus a flexible, can-do attitude.
- A commitment to CAPSA's mission, vision, and philosophy of empowerment.
Why Join CAPSA?
- Be Part of a Bigger Purpose: Your work will directly support survivors and their families on their journey to safety and healing.
- Professional Growth: Access training opportunities to expand your skills in trauma-informed care and advocacy.
- Dynamic Environment: No two days are the same, and your contributions will have a lasting impact on children, youth, and families.
This full-time role offers flexible hours, including evening shifts to accommodate group sessions. If you're ready to join a caring, driven team working to change lives, we want to hear from you!
