Food Service Host (Limited Casual) – UPMC Williamsport
Make a Difference Through Exceptional Service!
UPMC Williamsport is seeking a Food Service Host to join our Food & Nutrition Services team. In this role, you'll interact directly with patients to help ensure they receive nutritious meals and an outstanding dining experience during their hospital stay.
Schedule
- As scheduled
- Shifts scheduled between 3:30pm and 8:00pm
- Every other weekend and every other holiday required
Please note: We are not considering high school students for this position at this time.
What You'll Do
- Assist patients with meal selection and menu collection.
- Deliver and serve meals while providing excellent customer service.
- Ensure meals are served accurately, attractively, and within established timeframes.
- Verify patient identification and follow department procedures during meal service.
- Respond professionally to patient requests and concerns.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in assigned work areas.
- Follow food safety, hand hygiene, and infection prevention standards.
- Communicate patient feedback and concerns to the appropriate healthcare team members.
Ideal Candidate
- Enjoys working directly with people and providing outstanding customer service.
- Has experience in food service, hospitality, retail, or another customer-facing environment.
- Experience serving patients, residents, or guests is preferred.
- Demonstrates professionalism, compassion, and attention to detail.
- Works well independently and as part of a team.
