POSITION SUMMARY:
Under general direction of the purchasing supervisor, takes responsibility for supporting the pharmacy in its goal of maintaining satisfactory inventory levels.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Monitor and maintain appropriate inventory level based on utilization report and purchase history.
- Minimize Fill on Arrivals (FOA) orders
- Restocking inventory
- Follow predetermined company policies and procedures regarding controlled substances; ensures compliance with state federal and other regulatory agencies' requirements and laws.
- Supports compliance with all appropriate policies procedures safety rules and DEA regulations.
- Follow Drug Supply Chain Security Act (DSCSA) requirements
- Follow all applicable government regulations including HIPAA.
- Manage expired, recalled and returned medications
- Monitor and maintain drug files in computer system
- Responsible for communicating any changes and all issues to department supervisor.
- Support and work closely with the department supervisor
- Other duties as assigned; job duties may vary by location
OTHER DUTIES:
- Participate with corporate scheduled physical inventories
- Abide by the company Drug Free Workplace policy. Drug screening is conducted at hire, or may be conducted company-wide, or on request upon reasonable suspicion.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Licensed Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacist. 1+year of experience in a LTC Pharmacy setting and high volume pharmacy is preferred.
HOURS: Variable, flexible according to the need of the operation. We are a 24 hour operation.
Compensation: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
