Truck Yard Assistant

• Compensation: $17.00/hr (Weekly Pay)

• Shift: Monday–Friday, 7:55 AM until daily tasks finished (generally around 5PM)

• Status: Temporary 

• Location: Garden City, Savannah, GA 31408

Darkhorse Express is hiring an energetic and responsible Truck Yard Assistant to help manage our daily site operations. In this role, you will work outside, secure freight, keep the area organized, and handle basic site duties. We are looking for a punctual person who values safety and works well alongside others.

• Safely climb ladders to secure and unbind freight on trailers and containers.

• Keep the facility grounds tidy, orderly, and clear of safety hazards.

• Complete physical labor tasks to keep the daily workflow moving.

• Stick to all safety protocols and company guidelines.

• Keep open communication with managers and your coworkers.

• Happy to work outside through all types of weather (heat, cold, rain).

• Excellent attendance record and an honest work ethic.

• Good at taking direction and cooperating with a team.

• Confident working off the ground (no fear of heights).

• Heavy lifting, pushing, and pulling required.

• Forklift experience is helpful but not mandatory.

• Weekly paychecks (beginning after your second week of work).

• Reliable daytime hours, Monday through Friday.

• Every weekend off.
