Fabricator

Openwork is currently assisting a local client in their search for a Fabricator in Concord, NC.  We are looking for someone with a positive attitude, detailed oriented, and someone who wants to learn.  This first shift position starts at $18 an hour. 

As a Fabricator you will be responsible for the following job duties such as: 

RESPONSIBILITIES
 Ø Perform daily fabrication tasks for commercial aluminum fenestration products, including cutting, machining,
 and shop pre-assembly
 Ø Perform assembly and fitment of various aluminum parts and extrusions using hand tools and machinery
 Ø Responsible for oversight and quality control of individual performance for fabrication team-oriented results
 Ø Responsible for meeting daily and weekly production goals set by supervisor(s)
 Ø Responsible for overall satisfactory completion of tasks assigned by supervisor(s)

 REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
 Ø High school diploma or GED
 Ø Proficient use of Apple iPad tablet and various construction related applications
 Ø Basic understanding of architectural drawings, structural drawings, and architectural façade shop drawings
 Ø Capable of clear, accurate communication with co-workers and supervisor(s)
 Ø Candidate must be proficient in math and able to read a tape measure
 Ø Candidate must be able to physically bend at waist and knees, stand for extended periods of time, and be
 able to lift 50 lbs

 PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
 Ø Minimum 2 years experience in the metal working industry or similar

 WORK ENVIRONMENT
 Ø Average 40-45 hour work week

 CERTIFICATONS
 Ø OSHA 10-hour certification – preferred
