Transportation Aide CNA

Calling all Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs)!

Riverbend Health and Rehab is seeking a responsible and compassionate Transportation Aide (CNA) to safely transport residents to and from medical appointments, community outings, and other designated locations. This role is vital in supporting the health and well-being of our residents while representing the facility in a courteous and professional manner.

Transportation Aide CNA Key Responsibilities:

• Safely transport residents to and from scheduled appointments and outings using facility-owned vehicles

• Assist residents in and out of the vehicle, ensuring safety and comfort at all times

• Monitor resident condition during transport and report any concerns to nursing staff

• Maintain accurate transportation logs and appointment schedules

• Ensure vehicles are clean, fueled, and maintained in safe operating condition

• Follow proper infection control and safety procedures

• Communicate clearly and professionally with residents, family members, and facility staff

• Provide support to the activities department or other areas when transportation duties are not scheduled

Transportation Driver CNA Qualifications:

• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Certification

• Valid North Carolina driver’s license with a clean driving record

• Current CPR certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)

• Experience in a healthcare or senior care setting preferred

• Must be able to lift, push, and assist residents using wheelchairs or other mobility aids

• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills

• Patience, dependability, and a caring attitude toward elderly and disabled individuals
