HHA/Pediatric Care

We are seeking a compassionate and reliable caregiver to provide high-quality in-home support for pediatric clients. This role is ideal for someone who is dedicated to helping children thrive in a safe, nurturing, and respectful environment. The caregiver will assist with daily living activities, personal care needs, and routine support while following individualized care instructions.

Responsibilities

• Provide attentive in-home care for children in accordance with the care plan and family preferences.
• Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and hygiene support as needed.
• Support mobility, transfers, positioning, and safe supervision during daily routines.
• Prepare meals and snacks according to dietary guidelines and household instructions.
• Offer companionship, engagement, and age-appropriate interaction to promote comfort and well-being.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe care environment.
• Monitor and report changes in the child’s condition, behavior, or needs to the appropriate supervisor or family contact.
• Follow all care procedures, safety protocols, and confidentiality requirements.
• Document care activities accurately and promptly when required.
• Communicate professionally and respectfully with families, care teams, and supervisors.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in home health, personal care, pediatric care, or a related caregiving role preferred.
• Current certification as a Home Health Aide or equivalent credential, if required by the role or state regulations.
• Ability to provide compassionate, patient, and dependable care to children.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to follow care plans, instructions, and safety guidelines carefully.
• Basic understanding of child development and age-appropriate support techniques.
• Ability to remain calm and professional in changing situations.
• Reliable transportation and the ability to meet scheduling requirements, if applicable.

Preferred Skills

• Experience working with children who have special care needs or chronic conditions.
• CPR and First Aid certification.
• Familiarity with documenting care services and communicating updates clearly.
• Ability to build trust and positive rapport with children and families.
