Sample Maker

Description:

You will have the responsibility for picking, grading, cutting, classifying and sorting samples according to size, color, or other specifications. Discard defective sample slabs. Process samples by labeling, gluing and/or mortaring to the appropriate sample boards. Read orders to determine product type needed by customer, package the various samples in to the appropriate containers, and determine the appropriate shipping method.

Requirements:

• Be able to use the hand strapper and crimper.
• Must be computer literate
• Must pass a color eye test
• Ability to use the brick-cutting machine. (will train)
• Ability to match or detect differences between colors, including shades of color and brightness
• Ability to work well with others
• Forklift exp. a plus (License required for the job, will train)
• Must be willing to train in all areas of the sample department.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to lift 30 lbs. occasionally
• Must be able to bend, twist and stoop occasionally.
• Must be able to work outside in heat and cold

Work Schedule

Monday – Friday, 7:00am to 3:00pm

Overtime and Saturday work as needed
