Now Hiring Dietary Aides: Full-Time & Part-Time

We are hiring compassionate, dependable Dietary Aides to support meal service and nutrition needs for our residents. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working as part of a team, providing excellent service, and helping create a safe, welcoming dining experience.

Available Shifts

  • Full-Time, 1st Shift: 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with every other weekend required
  • Part-Time, 1st Shift: Six shifts per week scheduled between 6:00 AM and 7:30 PM, with every other weekend required

Dietary Aide Responsibilities

  • Assist with meal preparation, tray assembly, and meal service according to menu and resident diet requirements
  • Place food on trays and plates in correct portions and an attractive manner
  • Set up dining rooms and resident trays accurately and neatly
  • Work the steam table in assigned neighborhood kitchens
  • Deliver meals, snacks, supplements, ice water, and nourishments at the correct time
  • Assist residents with meals and feeding as needed
  • Monitor and document meal intake, calorie counts, and intake/output as assigned
  • Follow resident care plans and accommodate approved last-minute diet changes or resident requests
  • Maintain proper food temperatures, record temperatures, and follow food-safety procedures
  • Clean and sanitize kitchen work areas, cookware, utensils, equipment, storage areas, and nourishment refrigerators
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and attractive environment for residents and coworkers
  • Follow all safety, infection-control, dietary, and facility policies
  • Communicate professionally and respectfully with residents, families, nursing staff, and coworkers
  • Support new team member orientation and work effectively as part of a team
  • Maintain reliable attendance, punctuality, and professional appearance
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Previous experience in a healthcare, long-term care, senior living, or geriatric setting preferred
  • Basic knowledge of nutrition and therapeutic diets preferred
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Ability to use sound judgment and initiative when serving food, responding to resident needs, and completing assigned duties
  • Ability to safely perform kitchen, cleaning, meal-service, and resident-assistance duties
