Born from many well-known and long-standing brands, Howmet Fastening Systems, headquartered in Torrance, California, is the premier designer and manufacturer of aerospace and industrial fasteners, latches, fluid fittings and installation tools. Our products are used nose to tail on commercial and military aircraft, as well as on jet engines, industrial gas turbines, automobiles, commercial transportation vehicles, wind turbines, solar power systems, and construction and industrial equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain inventory accuracy and control of material stores including finished goods and raw materials
- Package, stage, and ship finished goods. When necessary, expedite critical shipments
- Assist with cycle counting
- Responsible for the flow and movement of materials to and from the factory
- Demonstrate a commitment to continuous improvement daily by your actions
- Take the initiative to resolve materials related issues with interaction from supervisor/Manager
- Perform other tasks as needed in support of manufacturing operations, customers, and suppliers
- Comply with all EHS rules and regulations and supervisory instructions. Report all incidents including injuries, spills, fires, property damage, and near misses to their supervisor
- Able to work with minimum or no supervision
- Practice 5s standards and keep area clean daily
Basic Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED
- 1-year experience related to materials and/or shipping/receiving
- Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2 years' experience related to materials and/or shipping/receiving in a manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of ERP and/or SAP systems
- Certified Forklift Operator Certificate
- Ability to use electric weight scales
Benefits/Salary:
The position includes competitive wages and a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance (medical, dental, vision), excellent 401k matching program, paid holidays and vacation. The salary range for this position is $21 - $23.50 per hour.
