Join our team as a Laboratory Technician 2 at the BURL Outreach Clinical Laboratory in Panorama City, where you'll play a pivotal role in our operations. Responsibilities include:
* Preparing specimens for analysis
* Assisting in coordination of couriers and routes, including follow-ups on service delays
* Triage of all lab samples and requests after verifying appropriate information
* Entering and verifying patient and test information into the computer
* Generating computer labels for specimens and delivering them to appropriate areas
* Preparing samples for transport to referral labs or storage
* Documenting draws, added tests, and cancelled/rejected specimens
Salary Range: $36.49 - $48.13/hour
* High school diploma or equivalent (e.g. GED or HiSET).
* Minimum of 2 years of recent experience performing specimen processing in a high-volume testing laboratory.
* Ability to work at other draw stations as needed (e.g. Panorama City, Torrance, Burbank, Encino, Calabasas, Westlake Village, Woodland Hills, Porter Ranch, Thousand Oaks, and Century City).
* Availability to work weekends, holidays and other shifts as needed.
* Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite.
* Skill in performing related computer procedures (LIS, HIS).
* Knowledgeable in quality assurance practices, preferred.
