Job Title: School Social Worker / School Psychologist – High School
Location: Thornton, CO
Type: Contract
Schedule: Monday – Friday | 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM | 40 Hours Per Week
Pay: $1,500 - $2,006/week (Based on Experience)

Position Overview:

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced School Social Worker or School Psychologist to provide mental health and social-emotional support to high school students receiving special education services.

Responsibilities

• Provide school-based mental health and social-emotional services according to IEPs.

• Support students with Mild to Moderate, Affective, and Significant Support Needs.

• Conduct assessments and identify social, emotional, behavioral, and mental health needs.

• Develop and implement appropriate interventions.

• Participate in IEP development and reviews.

• Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation.

• Provide individual and group counseling as appropriate.

• Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, administrators, counselors, and families.

• Support behavioral and crisis intervention strategies.

• Facilitate referrals for additional student support services.

• Maintain confidential student records.

• Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and IEP conferences.

• Communicate with parents/guardians regarding student progress and support needs.

Required Qualifications

School Social Worker:

• Appropriate Colorado School Social Worker credential/licensure or eligibility to obtain the required credential.

• Knowledge of special education processes and IEP requirements.

• Understanding of adolescent social, emotional, and behavioral development.

• Strong communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills.

• Previous school-based experience preferred.
