Accounts Receivable/Payable Clerk

Our company has an outstanding opportunity for a results-focused, highly driven and experienced Accounts Receivable/Payable Clerk. 

• Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent 
• At least 1-2 years of accounting, bookkeeping, or dealership experience required 
• Experience with accounts payable and accounts receivable 
• Basic understanding of general ledger and account reconciliation 
• Accurate data-entry and 10-key skills 
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook 
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a busy work environment  
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills 
• Dependable, professional, and able to maintain confidential information  
• Strong written and verbal communication skills  

Job Responsibilities

• Process vendor invoices and prepare payments 

• Post customer payments and other receipts accurately 

• Maintain accounts payable and accounts receivable records 

• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies 

• Reconcile G/L accounts and assist with month-end closing 

• Monitor outstanding balances and follow up on past-due accounts 

• Research and correct accounting discrepancies 

• Communicate with customers, vendors, and dealership departments  

• Maintain confidentiality of financial and employee information 

Perform other accounting and general office duties as assigned
