Job Summary
Boulder Medical Center (BMC) is seeking a compassionate and skilled Urgent Care Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) to join our Urgent Care team.
- Part-time status entails a scheduled commitment of at least four (4) shifts per month and is eligible to receive company paid malpractice insurance, 401k, and healthcare benefits.
- Per Diem (PRN) status allows for provider schedule flexibility, however, would not be eligible for company paid malpractice insurance, 401k and healthcare benefits.
Ideal candidates will deliver high-quality patient care, diagnose and treat a broad range of medical conditions, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to achieve the best possible patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive medical examinations and patient assessments.
- Diagnosing acute illnesses, infections, minor injuries, and exacerbations of chronic conditions.
- Determining whether a patient can be treated in urgent care or requires referral to an emergency department or specialist.
- Prescribe medications and therapies as clinically appropriate.
- Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant medical records.
- Stay current with medical advancements, evidence-based practices, and regulatory requirements.
- Strong clinical skills with a patient-centered approach.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Commitment to continuing medical education and professional development
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school.
- Current medical licensure.
- Board certification or eligibility.
