Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Controls & Electrical Technician to support the implementation, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of electrical control systems in a manufacturing environment. This position serves as the bridge between engineering and production by translating electrical designs into efficient manufacturing processes while providing hands-on support to minimize downtime and improve product quality.

Responsibilities:
• Troubleshoot, test, and support PLC, HMI, and electrical control systems on the production floor
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and engineering documentation
• Develop manufacturing work instructions and production routings for electrical assemblies
• Support production by diagnosing and resolving electrical and controls issues in real time
• Modify, implement, and test PLC and HMI software as required
• Perform electrical wiring, rewiring, panel modifications, and assembly rework
• Utilize electrical testing equipment including multimeters, oscilloscopes, and meggers for diagnostics
• Create and maintain technical documentation for electrical systems and manufacturing processes
• Support continuous improvement initiatives, cost reduction projects, and manufacturing process enhancements
• Assist with non-conformance investigations and corrective actions
• Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to improve manufacturing efficiency

Qualifications:
• Engineering degree with 5+ years of related experience, or equivalent hands-on controls and electrical experience
• Experience troubleshooting PLCs and HMIs, including Allen-Bradley (RSLogix 500/5000) and Beckhoff/Codesys preferred
• Knowledge of motion control systems and industrial automation
• Experience reading and interpreting electrical schematics and CAD drawings (AutoCAD preferred)
• Familiarity with IEC 61131-3 programming languages, including Structured Text and Ladder Logic
• Experience troubleshooting electrical control systems in a manufacturing environment
• Knowledge of Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA) principles is a plus
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Valid driver's license required
• Ability to travel up to 20% as needed

Physical Requirements:
• Ability to work on the manufacturing floor for extended periods
• Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching while troubleshooting equipment
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed
• Comfortable working around electrical equipment, machinery, and industrial manufacturing processes
• Must be able to wear required PPE and safely perform electrical troubleshooting tasks

Schedule:
• Monday – Friday, full-time (hours may vary based on production needs)
