Job Description

$112,000 - $136,000 + Top Benefits & Generous 401K

Cambridge, MA (Reston, VA option) | Hybrid, 9/80 Schedule

The Opportunity

This role puts you in charge of Government Property compliance across an entire multi-campus organization—not just one facility. You'll own the GFP transfer process end-to-end, supervise property management professionals, and be the person Program Offices, Supply Chain, Operations, and Engineering all rely on when government property questions come up.

If you're currently handling property management without real authority over the system, this is a step into ownership: reconciliation, audits, subcontractor oversight, and process improvement all run through you.

Why You'll Love This Role

You'll supervise a team while staying hands-on with the technical side of property management—inventory reconciliation, RFID and bar-code systems, and GFP case extensions across every corporate campus.

This is a hybrid role (minimum 3 days/week in office) on a 9/80 schedule, and full relocation is provided if you're moving for it.

Compensation includes a generous 401K on top of base salary.

Your Day-to-Day
  • Coordinate property-related activities with Program Offices, Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, and government personnel
  • Create, review, and reconcile GFP transfer requests, including in-bound and out-bound reconciliation
  • Track monthly metrics and conduct periodic audits of all GFP transfers
  • Oversee property closeout activity and the extension of existing GFP cases
  • Manage property identification assignment and loan request reconciliation
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute subcontractor property audits
  • Maintain and improve property management policies, procedures, and training across all campuses
What We're Looking For

Experience & Clearance

  • 3+ years of government property (equipment and material) management experience
  • 1+ year supervising government property management
  • Active Secret Clearance required to start (must be transferable)

Technical Knowledge

  • Working knowledge of FAR 52.245-1, FAR Part 45, DFARS 245.6, and DFARS 252.245-7003/7005
  • Experience with DCMA and other internal/external audits
  • Bar-code scanning and physical inventory experience; RFID knowledge
  • Process mapping and standard practice instruction/desk guide creation

Preferred

  • NPMA Certified Professional Property Specialist (CPPS) certification
  • Proficiency with Epicor or similar ERP reporting tools
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field (equivalent combination of education and experience considered)
Why Candidates Say Yes
  • Supervisory authority over a property management function spanning multiple campuses
  • Full relocation covered
  • Hybrid, 9/80 schedule
  • Strong compensation with a generous 401K match
