Morning Barista/Ice Cream Server

Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista/Ice Cream Server to join our team in creating exceptional coffee & ice cream experiences for our customers. As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of beverages, ensuring that each drink meets our high standards of quality and presentation. You will play a key role in fostering a welcoming atmosphere in our café while delivering outstanding customer service.

Duties

• Prepare and serve a wide range of coffee beverages, teas, and other specialty drinks according to established recipes and customer preferences.
• Prepare and serve hard scoop ice cream along with soft serve ice cream cones, shakes, and blasts according to established recipes and customer preferences.
• Take orders using our drive-thru headset. Serve customers through the drive-thru window including online orders that were placed at the restaurant.
• Operate the cash register and handle cash transactions accurately, including processing payments through our Clover POS system.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food preparation stations and equipment.
• Ensure compliance with food safety standards and regulations during all food preparation activities.
• Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers, taking orders, and addressing any inquiries or concerns promptly.
• Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure timely service without compromising quality.
• Assist with inventory management by monitoring stock levels of coffee beans, syrups, milk, ice cream toppings and other supplies needed.

Experience

• Previous experience in food preparation or working in a café environment is preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with cash handling procedures and operating cash registers is beneficial.
• Knowledge of coffee brewing techniques and beverage preparation is a plus.
• Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse customers.
