Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Logistics & Transportation Dispatcher with 3+ years of experience in logistics, transportation, distribution, or dispatch operations.

The ideal candidate will have strong coordination, communication, organizational, and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage transportation activities in a fast-paced distribution or supply chain environment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments.
• Dispatch transportation loads and coordinate pickup and delivery schedules.
• Track shipments and monitor delivery status.
• Communicate with carriers, drivers, warehouses, and internal teams.
• Coordinate transportation activities to ensure timely movement of shipments.
• Maintain accurate transportation, shipment, and delivery records.
• Update shipment information and provide status updates to relevant stakeholders.
• Resolve shipment, delivery, scheduling, and transportation-related issues.
• Monitor schedules and follow up on delays or exceptions.
• Prepare and maintain reports using Microsoft Excel.
• Manage multiple shipments and priorities simultaneously.
• Support day-to-day distribution and logistics operations.

Required Skills & Experience

• 3+ years of experience in logistics, transportation, distribution, dispatch, or a related field.
• Experience coordinating inbound and outbound shipments.
• Experience dispatching loads and tracking deliveries.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
• Excellent email and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and record-keeping skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with carriers, drivers, warehouses, and internal stakeholders.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in a distribution center, transportation, logistics, or supply chain environment.
• Experience working with transportation management systems (TMS) or logistics software.
• Experience coordinating with multiple carriers and warehouses.
• Experience handling shipment exceptions, delays, and delivery issues.
