Board-Certified Specialty Veterinary Medical Director Position Overview
Seeking an experienced Veterinary Medical Director to provide clinical leadership for a specialty and emergency hospital. This hands-on leadership role combines advanced clinical practice with protected administrative time, focusing on medical excellence, team development, and hospital growth.
Key Responsibilities- Provide clinical leadership across specialty and emergency services
- Establish and maintain medical standards, protocols, and best practices
- Mentor veterinarians, interns, and support staff
- Collaborate with hospital leadership on strategic planning, recruitment, and service development
- Maintain an active clinical caseload within your area of expertise
- Foster a collaborative, high-performing hospital culture
- Base salary: $180,000–$275,000, based on specialty, experience, and production
- Additional Medical Director stipend
- 25% production compensation with no negative accrual
