Position Overview

• Role: RN, Nurse Lead – Labor & Delivery

• Shift: Night Shift

• Schedule: 3x12s (12-hour shifts)

• Call: No call

• Scheduling: As needed (no block scheduling)

Job Summary

Lead and support unit-based nursing operations in Labor & Delivery. Responsible for coordinating patient care, supervising nursing staff, ensuring quality outcomes, and maintaining patient safety standards. Works closely with clinical leadership and physicians to support efficient, high-quality care delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide unit leadership and supervise nursing/ancillary staff

• Coordinate patient care plans with interdisciplinary teams

• Monitor staffing, assignments, and workflow efficiency

• Support quality improvement and patient safety initiatives

• Address patient care concerns and operational issues

• Assist with staff coaching, evaluation, and performance management

• Ensure compliance with hospital and regulatory standards

Requirements

• Active RN license (State of CA)

• BLS, ACLS, NRP required

• Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM) required

• Bachelor’s in Nursing preferred (or equivalent experience)

• Supervisory experience required

• L&D experience strongly preferred
