Job Title: Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Registered Nurse (Med Surg/Tele RN)

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality, patient-centered care to adult patients with acute medical conditions, including respiratory and pulmonary disorders. The RN will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care while monitoring cardiac rhythms, administering medications and treatments, and collaborating with the interdisciplinary healthcare team. Candidates should be comfortable caring for telemetry patients, managing respiratory conditions, and floating to other units as needed.

Requirements:

  • Active RN license in the state of practice or Compact License (if applicable)

  • Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

  • Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN) required

  • Minimum 2 years of Medical-Surgical/Telemetry nursing experience preferred (18 months may be considered)

  • Experience caring for telemetry, pulmonary, and general medical patients preferred

  • Strong assessment, communication, critical thinking, and clinical decision-making skills

  • Willingness to float to other units as assigned

Responsibilities:

  • Assess, monitor, and provide comprehensive nursing care for Medical-Surgical and Telemetry patients.

  • Monitor cardiac rhythms and recognize changes requiring intervention.

  • Administer medications, treatments, oxygen therapy, and other physician-ordered interventions.

  • Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to coordinate patient care.

  • Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans.

  • Educate patients and families regarding medical conditions, medications, treatments, and discharge planning.

  • Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical documentation.

  • Adhere to infection prevention, patient safety, and regulatory standards.

  • Float to other patient care units as assigned.

  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
