In-Office | Ogallala, NE, United States
Nebraska License and Chemo Compounding Required.
Responsibilities
Dispense medications accurately and safely, ensuring proper dosing and labeling.
Provide clinical pharmacotherapy recommendations for acute patient care.
Collaborate with physicians and nurses to optimize therapeutic regimens.
Monitor patient outcomes and adverse events related to medications.
Ensure compliance with regulatory and safety standards (e.g., USP, JCAHO).
Lead or participate in quality improvement and performance metrics tracking.
Develop and update formulary and standard operating procedures.
Provide drug information and education to healthcare team and patients.
Assist in medication reconciliation and discharge planning.
Manage inventory, storage conditions, and minimization of waste.
Mentor junior pharmacy staff and contribute to professional development.
Experience/Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) with current license
Clinical Pharmacist with acute care or hospital experience
Therapeutic monitoring and optimization of regimens in acute care
Regulatory/compliance knowledge (USP, JCAHO, DEA rules) and safety standards
Accurate sterile/non-sterile dispensing and labeling proficiency
Collaborative practice with physicians and nurses; effective communication
Pharmacovigilance: adverse event assessment and reporting
Formulary development, maintenance, and SOP updates
Medication reconciliation and discharge planning expertise
Quality improvement participation and performance metrics tracking
Inventory management, storage conditions, and waste minimization
Mentoring junior staff and contributing to professional development
Contract role on-site with ability to work in a high-visibility, results-driven environment
Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making; proficiency with pipelines and dashboards
On-call or to-be-available for critical patient care periods as needed
