**Join Our Dynamic Team as a Cat Scan Technologist!** **Job Description:** - Perform complex CT procedures and produce stunning sectional and three-dimensional images for interpretation. - Utilize your professional judgment to gather and review patient clinical history to ensure accuracy in documentation and scanning into PACS. - Prepare, screen, and verify contrast questionnaires with patients or family members, ensuring seamless uploading to EPIC. - Identify and administer contrast media as prescribed by licensed practitioners to enhance imaging results. - Collaborate closely with Radiologists and Referring Physicians to verify the appropriateness of exam prescriptions. - Clarify any prescription discrepancies by effectively communicating with physicians. - Ensure insurance authorization for exams is maintained and facilitate any necessary modifications with Finance. - Schedule and upload external studies into EPIC for comprehensive analysis by Radiologists. - Provide patients and physicians with exam copies and support throughout the process. - Evaluate radiographs through the PACS System to confirm proper identification and diagnostic quality. - Gather essential information from medical records and healthcare providers to maintain patient safety and protocol accuracy. - Prepare patients for scanning, including the use of shielding and immobilization devices. - Determine the appropriate type and dosage of contrast media for administration. - Offer clear explanations and instructions to patients at their level of understanding, addressing their questions and concerns. - Perform venipuncture and IV maintenance according to standard protocols, monitoring patient reactions throughout the procedure. - Ensure a supportive and safe environment while adhering to departmental policies. - Lift up to 25 lbs, push/pull a minimum of 50 lbs, and stand for extended periods to effectively execute job responsibilities. - Tailor care delivery to meet the specific needs of diverse patient populations (age, culture, language, etc.). - Maintain compliance with the Medical Center’s Organizational Competencies and Standards of Behavior. **Qualifications:** - Minimum of 1 year of experience in CT required; 2 years preferred. - Post-processing experience is necessary. - Knowledge of EPIC EMR is an advantage. **Required Skills:** - Profound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and radiological positioning of the human body. - Familiarity with mechanical attributes of CT software and hardware. - Expert knowledge of PACS system functionality. - Commitment to maintaining CEU credits and pursuing professional certifications. **Certifications & Licensure:** - NJ DEP Diagnostic Radiography License required. - ARRT Certified R.T.(R) license required. - American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification within three months of hire date. **Why Catalytic Solutions (CatSol):** At CatSol, we connect dedicated therapists with rewarding assignments across the country.
