Title: Project Manager
Location:  Columbia, South Carolina, 29223 (hybrid schedule)
Contract: W2 only, 12 month contract with potential for extension or conversion to full time with either the client or CEI
Pay: $ 50/hour + optional medical, dental, vision, 401(k) match

Overview

Responsible for overall coordination, status reporting, and stability of project-oriented work efforts. Responsible for managing multiple projects of varying size and complexity, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and according to quality standards. Monitors project plans, resource needs, and key milestones from inception to final business acceptance and implementation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develops and monitors project plans, risk management plans, and project documentation from scope to post-implementation. Ensures project documentation and deliverables are complete, on budget, within scope, and in accordance with standards.
  • Identifies items that impact the scope, budget, risk, and resources of the work effort. Monitors resource requirements based on project specifications. Ensures resources are assigned to meet project objectives while managing project hours budgeted.
  • Responsible for the development, execution, and maintenance of project communications. Facilitates effective communications between all parties involved in the project and/or work efforts. This will include meetings, correspondence, status reports, and other documentation.
  • Identifies the impact of issues arising from the work efforts and/or resource requirements. Manages the project issues throughout the project life cycle. Communicates the implications of changes to the project scope with senior management and other appropriate parties.
  • Responsible for ensuring all work efforts have appropriate documentation for audit purposes utilizing project methodology standards in accordance with the ISSM.
  • Responsible for overall coordination, status reporting, and stability of project-oriented work efforts. Responsible for multiple work efforts of any size, from minimum to greater complexity system/customer impacts.
  • Monitors project plans, assignments, and work efforts daily. Ensures resource needs are assigned appropriately and escalates functional, quality, and timeline issues. Tracks key project milestones and adjusts project plans accordingly.
  • Mentors other project leads and participates in staff training and development.

  • Effective strategic thinking skills.
  • Proficiency in conducting analysis of project triple constraints.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office and project management tools.
Required Education
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field.
  • Or 4 years of job-related work experience or 2 years of job-related experience plus an associate’s degree in any major.
Preferred Skills
  • PMP Certification.
  • Experience with MS Project, Azure DevOps, or similar project management software.
  • Experience leading two or more concurrent project teams.
