BEPC is actively looking for EHS Engineer, in Irving, TX area!

W2 Contract | 4 – 12 months, with possible extensions and potential for permanent placement.

Benefits include medical, dental, vision, and life insurance

Pay Rate: $30.00 - $35.00/hour - Determined based on experience (Paid Weekly)

Work Model: Fully onsite role - Schedule: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Summary of the Role:

 

BEPC is seeking a highly motivated EHS Specialist to join our client’s site in Irving, Texas. This role will support the development, implementation, and maintenance of EHS programs, procedures, and policies to ensure compliance with local and federal regulations.

 

The EHS Specialist will conduct workplace inspections and risk assessments, identify potential hazards, implement mitigation recommendations, support continuous improvement initiatives, deliver EHS training, conduct incident and accident investigations, monitor EHS performance, maintain required documentation, and support emergency response activities.


Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain EHS programs, procedures, and policies to ensure compliance with local and federal regulations.
  • Conduct regular inspections and risk assessments, identify potential workplace hazards, and define and implement recommendations for mitigation measures.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish and maintain a safe work environment, foster a culture of safety throughout the organization, and drive continuous improvement initiatives related to EHS performance.
  • Deliver comprehensive training programs to enhance employee awareness and understanding of EHS procedures, hazards, and best practices.
  • Conduct incident and accident investigations, identify root causes, and develop corrective action plans to prevent recurrence.
  • Monitor and analyze EHS performance metrics, prepare reports, and present findings to management.
  • Stay up to date with relevant EHS regulations and industry standards and ensure timely compliance with changes.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to EHS activities, including incident reports, training records, and permits.
  • Implement emergency response plans and conduct drills to evaluate their effectiveness.
  • Participate in regional, global, and divisional EHS meetings and engage with regulatory agencies as necessary.


Main Qualifications: 

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Life Sciences, or a related discipline.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in EHS roles, preferably within similar industries or fields.
  • Knowledge of local and federal EHS regulations and standards.
  • Excellent communication and people skills to effectively train employees and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong organizational skills and mindfulness for maintaining accurate EHS records.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, including Excel, and systems for data management and reporting.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.


Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Experience within similar industries or fields.
