Badger is hiring a warehouse associate! Full time/1st shift
POSITION SUMMARY
Unload and check in materials from vendor trucks. Pull orders for city and route customers, stage orders. Maintain a clean, safe work area.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Unload and inspect incoming freight.
- Enter receiving details into the scanner and computer.
- Make inventory locations and assign products to them.
- Organize warehouses to accommodate seasonal bulk products.
- Problem solve and knowledge of Badger’s procedures and products.
- Pull orders for contractor customers (delivered and customer pick up). Excellent customer service required.
- Pull orders for route customers. Route orders are loaded after the trucks are routed. The orders are pulled and staged for loading. Order accuracy and efficiency are very important.
- Stage orders for loading; palletize if necessary. Shrink wrapping manually or using the machine. Band when appropriate.
- Use forklift to load and unload trucks.
- Maintain a clean, safe work area.
- Stock products.
- Maintain a positive attitude.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High School diploma or GED.
- Warehouse, order pulling and loading/receiving experience preferred.
- Forklift experience preferred.
- Computer experience preferred.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Ability to be highly organized and able to work in a team environment.
- Ability to problem solve and provide suggestions for improvement.
- Ability to interact with other shifts and order pullers.
- Ability to track transactions including purchase orders and sales orders.
- Ability to access information from the computer including pick ticket delivery dates and information, purchase order arrivals and information, and customer information.
- Ability to communicate with supervisors and team members of other departments to coordinate information on a customer’s order.
- A high sense of urgency and a willingness to work as a team, not as an individual.
