Ultrasound Technician

The Ultrasound Technician plays a crucial role within a multidisciplinary healthcare team, specializing in OB/GYN, abdomen, and vascular ultrasound imaging. This position involves operating advanced ultrasound equipment to capture high-quality diagnostic images, preparing patients, and collaborating closely with women's health, radiology, and vascular health teams to support accurate diagnostics and patient care.

Responsibilities

• Perform ultrasound imaging using 2D, Doppler, and portable ultrasound systems
• Prepare patients for imaging procedures with clear communication and instructions
• Analyze ultrasound images for quality and diagnostic value
• Generate detailed reports documenting findings and observations
• Maintain and calibrate ultrasound equipment to ensure optimal performance
• Interact compassionately with a mixed patient population including obstetrics, gynecology, abdomen, and vascular cases
• Keep accurate records of procedures and patient information
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and protocols
• Collaborate effectively with women's health, radiology, and vascular healthcare teams
• Engage in continuing education to stay current with ultrasound technologies and practices

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years experience in medical ultrasound imaging
• Licensed Ultrasound Technician (RDMS)
• Certifications in OB/GYN, Abdomen, and Vascular ultrasound
• Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
• Proficient in ultrasound equipment operation and image analysis
• Excellent communication and patient care skills
• Detail-oriented with strong time management abilities
