Position Overview

Crawford & Brinkman Door & Window Company is seeking a motivated, personable, and customer-focused Residential Sales Representative to join our team.

For more than 70 years, Crawford & Brinkman has served homeowners throughout Central Illinois. This position will work directly with homeowners to identify their needs, recommend the right products, prepare estimates, and help guide projects from the initial sales appointment through installation and customer follow-up.

We are looking for someone who enjoys working with people, building relationships, solving problems, and turning opportunities into sales.

What You'll Do

• Meet with homeowners for scheduled residential sales appointments.
• Evaluate garage door and entry door replacement needs.
• Recommend garage doors, garage door openers, entry doors, accessories, and related products.
• Explain product options, features, insulation, finishes, warranties, and pricing.
• Take and verify accurate field measurements.
• Prepare professional estimates and proposals.
• Follow up with customers on outstanding estimates and sales opportunities.
• Coordinate scheduling and project information with the office.
• Maintain communication with customers throughout the sales and installation process.
• Work closely with office staff and installation crews to ensure accurate project completion.
• Follow up with customers after installation to ensure complete satisfaction.
• Develop repeat business and referrals through outstanding customer service.
• Generate additional residential sales opportunities through networking, referrals, and community involvement.

What We're Looking For

• Previous sales experience is preferred.
• Experience in garage doors, construction, remodeling, home improvement, building materials, or a related field is a plus.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Self-motivated with the ability to manage appointments and follow-up activities.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
• Basic computer skills, including email and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to learn estimating and company management software.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Professional appearance and positive attitude.

Work Environment

This is an outside residential sales position that includes customer appointments throughout Central Illinois as well as regular communication and coordination with our Peoria office.

The normal work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Additional customer appointments may be scheduled as needed.
