Certified Medical Assistant

The Certified Medical Assistant plays a vital role in providing clinical and administrative support within a small healthcare team. This position involves assisting healthcare providers, managing patient records, and ensuring efficient patient communication and care within a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate medical records and update patient charts
• Provide clinical support to physicians and nursing staff
• Communicate effectively with patients to gather information and provide instructions
• Collect and process specimens for laboratory testing
• Administer medications as directed by healthcare providers
• Manage Electronic Health Records (EHR) to ensure accurate documentation

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in medical assisting
• Certificate or diploma from an accredited medical assisting program

Preferred Qualifications

• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR)
