Traffic FLagger

• Control and direct vehicular and pedestrian traffic through construction zones using hand signals, stop-slow paddles, and radio communication.
• Set up and remove traffic control devices including cones, barricades, signs, and temporary barriers.
• Follow approved traffic control plans and site specific safety procedures.
• Communicate clearly with crew members, equipment operators, and the public to ensure safe movement around the jobsite.
• Monitor traffic flow and adjust positioning as needed to maintain safety and efficiency.
• Maintain constant awareness of surroundings to prevent accidents and unsafe conditions.
• Work in close proximity to heavy equipment, trucks, and active roadway traffic.
• Assist with basic labor tasks when traffic control is not active, as directed by the supervisor.
• Maintain proper documentation of traffic control activities when required.
• Follow all OSHA regulations, DOT guidelines, and state or local traffic safety requirements.
• Work outdoors in varying weather conditions including heat, cold, rain, and wind.
• Stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks including lifting traffic control equipment.
• Valid driver’s license preferred. Traffic Control Flagger Certification or ATSSA certification strongly preferred where required by state or project.

• Reliable transportation and ability to report to the jobsite on time daily.
• Valid driver’s license if required for the role.
• Full PPE including hard hat, safety vest, steel toe boots, gloves, and safety glasses.
• Basic hand tools and trade specific tools as required.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
• Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including lifting up to 50 pounds and standing, bending, kneeling, and climbing for extended periods.
• Ability to follow safety protocols and OSHA guidelines.
• Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and willingness to take direction.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, or extended shifts as needed.
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred
• Ability to work in secure or badge access environments.
