Job Description
Senior Safety Manager – National Data Center Program
Location: National – must reside near a major airport
Preferred Locations: Dallas, TX or Atlanta, GA
Travel: Approximately 50% – home on weekends
Compensation: $150,000–$165,000 base + monthly revenue bonus + additional growth incentives
The Opportunity
We are recruiting for an experienced Senior Safety Manager to lead safety operations for one of the world’s largest data center builders.
This is a unique senior-level opportunity combining Safety Operations Management with Strategic Account Management. The successful candidate will take responsibility for a major, rapidly expanding national account while leading a growing team of approximately 30–40 field safety professionals.
Approximately 80% of the position will focus on safety operations and team leadership, with the remaining 20% focused on client relationships, account development and identifying opportunities for continued growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a national team of approximately 30–40 field safety professionals
- Oversee safety program delivery across multiple large-scale data center projects
- Ensure consistent safety performance, service quality and client satisfaction across the account
- Serve as a senior point of contact and trusted partner to the client
- Build relationships with key stakeholders throughout the client organization
- Identify opportunities for additional projects, personnel and services within the account
- Work closely with senior leadership and Sales to develop and execute account-growth strategies
- Manage field staffing requirements, performance and operational challenges
- Maintain visibility across active projects and ensure appropriate leadership support
- Support safety planning, compliance, audits, incident management and continuous improvement
- Track account performance and contribute to revenue forecasting and growth initiatives
Ideal Background
We are particularly interested in candidates coming from a third-party safety consulting, outsourced EHS or safety staffing environment, rather than purely internal safety positions.
The ideal candidate will bring:
- Significant construction safety / EHS leadership experience
- Experience managing multiple projects and geographically dispersed safety professionals
- Strong client-facing and account-management capabilities
- Experience within a consulting, professional services or outsourced safety organization
- Commercial awareness with the ability to identify and develop additional business within an existing client
- Experience supporting data centers, mission-critical construction or other large-scale complex projects strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of construction safety programs, OSHA requirements, audits, incident management and contractor safety
- Executive-level communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with operations, executive leadership and sales teams
- Willingness to travel approximately 50% nationally
Compensation & Incentives
The position offers a $150,000–$165,000 base salary, together with a monthly bonus tied to billed revenue.
There are also additional financial incentives for account growth and high-growth performance, creating considerable upside for someone capable of expanding the relationship.
Travel & Location
This is a national position supporting projects across multiple markets, with current activity concentrated around:
Dallas, TX | Atlanta, GA | Northern/Central Virginia
Candidates should live within convenient access of a major airport. Dallas is the preferred location, with Atlanta also considered particularly attractive.
Travel is expected to be approximately 50%, with the position structured to allow the successful candidate to return home on weekends.
