Event Sales Representative

RazMania is hiring one high-energy, confident Silent Auction Sales Host for our sports and trading-card festival at UWM Sports Complex in Pontiac on Saturday, August 29 and Sunday, August 30, 2026.

Schedule: 10:00 AM–5:00 PM both Saturday and Sunday. Applicants must be available for both full shifts.

Pay: $20 per hour, plus an opportunity to earn a performance bonus. Bonus details will be explained before hiring.

This is an active sales and guest-engagement role—not a sit-behind-the-table job. You will approach attendees, create excitement around the silent auction, help guests register and bid, answer questions accurately, and keep momentum high through the auction close.

Responsibilities:

• Proactively approach attendees and invite them to browse, register, and bid

• Take initiative without waiting to be told whom to approach or what to do next

• Learn the featured auction items and explain them accurately

• Help guests use QR codes and mobile bidding

• Monitor displays and bid activity while creating honest urgency

• Keep the auction area polished, organized, and secure

• Escalate item, payment, authentication, or policy questions to event leadership

• Help with winner checkout, pickup, packing, and closeout

Requirements:

• Available from 10:00 AM–5:00 PM both Saturday and Sunday

• Experience in face-to-face sales, fundraising, brand activation, hospitality, or guest engagement

• Comfortable initiating conversations and directly asking guests to bid

• Energetic, persuasive, resilient, and professional without being pushy

• Self-directed, dependable, and quick to act when an opportunity appears

• Accurate and composed in a fast-moving event environment

• Trustworthy around valuable merchandise and payments

• Able to stand and move throughout the shift and use a smartphone or tablet

• Reliable transportation to Pontiac, Michigan

Sports, collectibles, memorabilia, or auction experience is helpful but not required.
