Mammography Technologist
We are seeking a skilled, compassionate, and detail-oriented Mammography Technologist to join our imaging team. This role is ideal for a technologist who takes pride in delivering high-quality breast imaging, creating a positive patient experience, and supporting efficient daily operations in a busy mammography setting.
Schedule
Monday through Thursday schedule, with one technologist working 7:00 a.m.–5:30 p.m. and the other working 8:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m.
Imaging Environment
Our mammography department includes two imaging rooms and averages approximately 20 exams per room each day. Technologists work with Hologic Selenia Dimensions equipment in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities
· Perform high-quality screening and diagnostic mammograms while ensuring patient comfort, safety, and privacy.
· Assist with breast biopsy procedures and related imaging support as needed.
· Complete daily and required quality control activities in accordance with department standards and regulatory guidelines.
· Verify imaging orders for accuracy and completeness before exams are performed.
· Maintain clean, organized, and well-stocked mammography rooms to support smooth patient flow.
· Operate Hologic Selenia Dimensions equipment with accuracy and confidence.
· Communicate clearly and professionally with patients, providers, radiologists, and team members.
· Support a positive, efficient, and compassionate imaging experience for every patient.
Required Qualifications
· ARRT certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists is required.
· Current Texas license is required.
· Mammography experience, including screening and diagnostic exams, is strongly preferred.
· Experience with breast biopsy support, quality control, order verification, and room preparation is preferred.
· Strong attention to detail, excellent patient-care skills, and the ability to work effectively in a high-volume imaging environment.
