Purchasing Expeditor / Supply Chain Coordinator

Location: Pelzer, SC
Pay: $35-$40/hour
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM
Position Type: Temporary

We are seeking an experienced Purchasing Expeditor to support procurement and supply chain operations within a manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for coordinating with vendors, monitoring purchase orders, tracking material deliveries, and helping ensure production schedules remain on track.

Key Responsibilities:

• Follow up with vendors regarding open purchase orders and delivery timelines
• Expedite critical materials to support production demands
• Collaborate with purchasing, logistics, warehouse, and planning teams
• Resolve supply and delivery issues impacting operations
• Maintain accurate order and supplier data within ERP systems
• Track inventory needs and provide status updates on material availability
• Generate reports and communicate supplier performance metrics

Qualifications:

• 4+ years of experience in purchasing, supply chain, logistics, inventory control, or manufacturing environments
• Strong experience working directly with vendors and suppliers
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems (Oracle or similar preferred)
• Understanding of purchasing processes, shipping/logistics, and inventory management
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
