Job Description
Job Overview
A rapidly growing Arizona roofing company is hiring an experienced Roofing Field Production Manager to lead residential roofing production throughout the Phoenix metro area.
This is a hands-on field leadership role responsible for roofing installations, Project Managers, field staff, subcontractor crews, quality control, safety, production costs, and customer escalations.
You will own residential production from job readiness through final completion — ensuring projects are properly prepared, crews are equipped to succeed, installations meet code and manufacturer specifications, and field issues are resolved quickly.
We’re looking for someone who understands roofing production, can command respect in the field, lead people, manage subcontractors, enforce standards, and take ownership of results.
Responsibilities
- Manage residential roofing production from start to finish, including job prequalification, scope review, permits, inspections, material coordination, installation progress, and final completion.
- Lead the field team, including Project Managers, drivers, laborers, installers, and subcontractors; coach employees, assign crews, evaluate performance, and hold the team accountable for quality, cost, schedule, and company standards.
- Manage subcontractor capacity and performance by sourcing, vetting, onboarding, assigning, and evaluating crews while maintaining enough qualified labor to support production volume and company growth.
- Own quality control, safety, and jobsite standards by performing field inspections, enforcing building codes, manufacturer specifications, OSHA/fall-protection requirements, property protection, and required job documentation and photos.
- Control production costs and resources by monitoring materials, shortages, returns, waste, subcontractor invoices, job costing, trucks, trailers, and field equipment.
- Own field and customer escalations through resolution, including Project Manager issues, homeowner concerns, punch-list items, warranty claims, emergency tarps, active leaks, and go-backs while partnering with the Office Production Manager to maintain a strong customer experience.
- Monitor and report production performance, including installation volume, warranty rates, cost per square, crew capacity, and other key production metrics.
Skills & Qualifications
- Residential roofing production experience with strong knowledge of roofing systems, installation practices, building codes, manufacturer specifications, scopes of work, permits, inspections, and jobsite requirements.
- Proven field leadership experience managing Project Managers, installers, subcontractors, and other field personnel while holding teams accountable for quality, cost, safety, schedule, and performance.
- Strong subcontractor and production management skills, including sourcing and onboarding crews, planning labor capacity, reviewing invoices, understanding job costing, coordinating materials, and identifying scope issues before installation.
- Strong quality and safety knowledge, including field inspections, OSHA requirements, fall protection, jobsite protection, documentation, and the ability to identify and correct installation issues.
- Strong communication, coaching, organization, and problem-solving skills with the confidence to handle difficult conversations, customer escalations, and independent field decisions.
- Reliable, punctual, professional, and self-directed with a valid driver's license and ability to travel throughout the Phoenix metro area. Bilingual English/Spanish is a huge plus.
What Success Looks Like
First 30 Days: Learn the active projects, field team, subcontractor base, installation standards, and production processes while beginning field inspections and production meetings.
First 60 Days: Take ownership of job pre-qualification, subcontractor accountability, invoice auditing, safety, documentation, quality control, and field escalations.
First 90 Days: Own residential field production across quality, cost, safety, staffing, subcontractors, and escalations while building the capacity needed to support continued growth.
Success means jobs are ready before crews arrive, installations are completed correctly, teams are held accountable, costs are controlled, documentation is complete, customers are taken care of, and problems are resolved.
Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive compensation based on experience
- Health insurance
- Company vehicle and fuel card
- Company phone
- Full-time leadership position with growth opportunity
Work Environment
This is a field-focused leadership position, not a desk-only management role. You will spend significant time on active residential roofing projects throughout the Phoenix metro area inspecting installations, leading field teams, managing subcontractors, and resolving production issues.

We are building a team of professionals who take ownership, communicate effectively, hold themselves and others accountable, and take pride in delivering high-quality craftsmanship and customer service.
