Partners for Parkinson’s is a small, specialized care company serving families across East Tennessee. We focus on dignity, clarity, and calm, providing reliable support for individuals living with Parkinson’s disease and related conditions. All our patients are living independently at home and are high functioning. We want to keep them this way and help them fight back against Parkinson's and slow its progression.
Position Overview
We’re hiring a part‐time caregiver who values stability, compassion, and clear expectations. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys meaningful work and takes pride in helping clients maintain independence at home. Who also is willing to help education families and patient's about Parkinson's.
Schedule & Hours
- Part‐time: 12–20 hours/week
- Shifts typically fall between 8 AM–6 PM
- Occasional weekend availability appreciated but not required
What You’ll Do
- Provide hands‐on assistance with daily activities, encouraging appropriate exercises
- Support safe mobility, transfers, and fall‐prevention routines, fall risk assessments
- Offer companionship, conversation, and emotional support
- Assist with meal prep, light housekeeping, and medication reminders
- Document visits clearly using our simple electronic documentation
- Communicate respectfully with families and supervisors
- Drive to appointments or run errands as needed
