Job Description:
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join a leading fertility center in Syracuse, NY. This role will support patients throughout fertility treatments and procedures, including IVF, IUI, and egg freezing. The RN will provide patient-centered care, education, triage, procedural support, and post-anesthesia recovery in an operating room environment.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and follow established medication protocols.
• Initiate, maintain, and discontinue IV lines.
• Triage patient questions, concerns, and clinical issues and direct them appropriately.
• Review, communicate, and document laboratory results.
• Maintain accurate and thorough patient health records.
• Prepare patients for procedures and surgeries.
• Assist physicians with fertility and surgical procedures, including:
• Oocyte retrievals
• Cyst aspirations
• Dilation and curettage (D&C)
• Laparoscopic and hysteroscopy procedures
• Epididymal aspirations
• HSG
• Selective catheterization
• Monitor patients during post-operative recovery.
• Provide patient education and support throughout treatment.
• Participate in staff development, nursing conferences, infectious disease education, and continuing education programs.
• Perform additional nursing responsibilities based on clinical and operational needs.
  

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the applicable state.
• 1+ year of nursing experience in Critical Care, Labor & Delivery, or Surgery.
• Hands-on Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) experience.
• Strong clinical, communication, organizational, and patient-care skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• BLS/CPR certification
• ACLS certification
• Bilingual in English and Spanish
• Previous fertility or reproductive health experience is a plus.
