General Laborer

Job Summary:

Performs various functions to fabricate flexible heating and cooling ducts and packs finished products.

Essential Functions:

Hand loads fiberglass laps and liners onto pullover chutes to assemble and then packs ducts as they are assembled.  Cuts ducts to required lengths and inspects for overall quality to remove defective ducts from line.  Makes-up boxes, packs and places on skids.  Tags skids.

Changes chutes as necessary for diameter changes.

Maintains adequate supplies of materials, including boxes, labels and tapes.

Performs rework as necessary.

Secondary Duties:

Checks printer for proper labeling.

Checks and maintains tape dispensers.

Assures availability of skids.

Qualifications:  Ability to read, write and follow instructions.

Experience:   3 - 6 months

Skills:  Some manual dexterity, Continuous standing or walking.  Cannot sit on this job.

Special Requirements: Exposure to fiberglass insulation; some workers experience     

                                                contact dermatitis
