Delivery pick up driver

Northwest Lawn & Power Equipment is looking for a dependable, safety-focused Pickup & Delivery Driver to support our Itasca and Lisle, Illinois locations.

This position is responsible for safely picking up and delivering lawn mowers, snowblowers, commercial equipment, and other outdoor power equipment to our customers. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, treats customers professionally, and understands that safety and proper equipment handling come first.

Responsibilities

● Safely pick up and deliver customer and dealership equipment

● Drive between our Itasca and Lisle locations as needed

● Load and unload lawn mowers, snowblowers, zero-turn mowers, and other equipment

● Properly position and secure/strap down all equipment before transportation

● Perform a safety check before every trip to ensure equipment and loads are secure

● Keep the company truck and trailer clean, organized, and presentable

● Keep vehicles fueled and ready for the next delivery

● Perform basic pre-trip inspections of the truck and trailer, including tires, lights, straps, hitch, and safety equipment

● Communicate with customers professionally during pickups and deliveries

● Verify the correct equipment is being picked up or delivered

● Help move and organize equipment at both dealership locations when needed

● Immediately report any vehicle, trailer, equipment, or safety concerns

● Follow company procedures and all applicable traffic and transportation laws

Requirements

● Previous driving and/or pickup and delivery experience required

● Valid driver’s license and clean/reliable driving record

● Experience driving a truck with a trailer

● Comfortable backing, parking, and maneuvering a truck and trailer

● Experience properly using ratchet straps and securing equipment

● Physically able to lift, push, pull, and maneuver outdoor power equipment

● Dependable and able to report to work on time

● Strong attention to safety

● Professional attitude when dealing with customers

● Able to work independently and manage a delivery schedule

● Willing to work from and travel between Itasca and Lisle

We want someone who treats the company truck, trailer, and equipment like it’s their own. Safety, reliability, communication, and taking care of our customers are extremely important in this position.

This is not just a driving position. You will be representing Northwest Lawn & Power Equipment every time you arrive at a customer’s home or business.

Experience with lawn equipment, landscaping equipment, trailers, or similar machinery is a strong plus.
