Position Overview
Resolvesoft is seeking an experienced Contract Manager to lead day-to-day operations for a professional services contract based onsite in Washington, DC. This is a key leadership role with full authority over daily operations and responsibility for staffing, performance, and service quality across the engagement. The ideal candidate is a proven people manager who can direct a multidisciplinary team, build strong client relationships, and consistently deliver high-quality results.
Key Responsibilities
● Serve as the primary point of contact and full-authority representative for all day-to-day contract operations and client matters.
● Organize, direct, and coordinate the planning and execution of all contract support activities.
● Retain qualified staff; manage staffing transitions and continuity of coverage with minimal disruption to service delivery.
● Maintain and adjust, as needed, the internal management structure supporting the contract.
● Represent the company at client meetings and periodic performance reviews; proactively identify and resolve performance concerns.
● Develop and maintain quality control procedures to ensure services consistently meet contractual standards.
● Ensure staff compliance with client site security, identification, and background investigation requirements.
● Designate and manage a qualified alternate to ensure continuous management coverage when unavailable.
Required Qualifications
● Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
● Minimum 3 years of experience managing a complex, multidisciplinary team involving multiple facets of technical or professional services work.
● Demonstrated experience with day-to-day management of contract or program operations, potentially spanning multiple projects, teams, or locations.
● Strong organizational skills with a proven ability to direct and coordinate the planning and production of support activities.
● Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
● Ability to pass a federal background investigation for onsite facility access (includes providing identification and fingerprinting).
● Able to work onsite in Washington, DC during standard business hours, Monday–Friday.
Additional Details
● This role requires 100% onsite presence at the client's Washington, DC location; remote or hybrid work is not available except in rare, client-directed emergency situations.
● Standard availability is approximately 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, Monday–Friday, excluding federal holidays.
