CT Technologist Schedule
Nights 4-10’s (7:30PM to 6AM), Monday-Thursday - No Weekends
Job DescriptionThe CT Technologist performs diagnostic CT examinations and assists physicians with invasive CT procedures. Responsibilities include: preparing examinations for interpretation, maintaining radiation safety, and assisting with maintaining supplies. This role requires performing and documenting diagnostic CT examinations upon the order of an approved healthcare provider and ensuring continuity of care communication to the next caregiver. The technologist analyzes CT examinations for quality control purposes and prepares completed examinations for interpretation by the radiologist. Additional duties involve operating all CT and related equipment, administering oral and intravenous contrast media under the physician's direction, and assisting physicians with special procedures involving the use of CT.
Responsibilities- Perform diagnostic CT examinations and assist with invasive procedures.
- Prepare examinations for interpretation and maintain radiation safety.
- Document examinations and communicate care details to the next caregiver.
- Analyze CT examinations for quality control and prepare for radiologist interpretation.
- Operate all CT and related equipment, as well as facility-based computer systems.
- Administer oral and intravenous contrast media following protocols.
- Transport, move, and position patients safely and appropriately.
- Assist in quality assurance/quality control activities related to CT.
- Associates degree in Radiologic Technology from an AMA approved school.
- Active registration by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) in radiography and CT.
- Maintains licensure requirements with the state of Ohio.
- Annual CPR certification/When Seconds Count certification required.
- Minimum of two years of experience in a diagnostic imaging setting preferred.
- Ability to exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally; may involve sedentary work.
