Job Summary:
Xray Technologist in a healthcare facility. This position involves performing computerized tomographic radiological procedures on patients, in addition to general diagnostic radiology examinations. The role requires adherence to clinical protocols and ensuring patient safety during imaging procedures, with a focus on radiation protection and equipment setup.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Rotating shift, 12 hours per shift, with minimum of 36 hours per week. Duration: 13 weeks.
- Required Qualifications: High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent, minimum of 1 year of experience in radiologic procedures, and current registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Healthcare Provider certification (BLS) is required.
- Preferred Qualifications: N/A
- Additional Information: The candidate must be proficient in radiologic procedures, patient preparation, clinical data review, anatomical analysis, equipment setup, radiation protection, intravenous contrast media administration, and infection control practices. Additional skills include patient care functions, PACS image management, radiology information system usage, clinical protocol review, medical record documentation, teamwork, customer service, flexibility, initiative, willingness to learn, and respect for diversity. Shift hours are 7 PM to 7 AM, every other weekend, with on-call not required.
