Job Summary
The CT Technologist position in the CT specialty is available in an acute care setting. This role involves independently performing computed tomography imaging procedures utilizing established protocols, including contrast administration, and ensuring high-quality diagnostic images are obtained while maintaining patient safety and comfort.
Job Details
- Certifications, Education Requirements, Degree Requirements, Location Requirements, and Years of Experience: Graduate of an ARRT approved school of Radiologic Technology or completion of accredited CNMT program. CT registry must be acquired within 18 months of the date the primary registry was acquired or date of hire if primary registry is already obtained. 2 years of experience is required.
- Schedule: Rotating shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Responsibilities include: performing computed tomography procedures utilizing established scan protocols, including contrast administration; adjusting protocols with independent judgment; utilizing complex imaging equipment for acquisition, analysis, reconstruction, and documentation of image data; demonstrating proper technique in venipuncture and contrast administration; assessing patients for risk factors prior to contrast media administration; interacting compassionately with patients and team members; communicating instructions effectively; properly identifying patients; reviewing patient history; and ensuring all exams are correctly coded, networked, and billed.
- Additional Information: The candidate must demonstrate excellent communication skills, technical proficiency, and adherence to safety and departmental protocols.
