Job Summary
The CT Technologist position is based at the healthcare facility in the CT specialty. This role involves performing diagnostic computed tomography (CT) examinations, assisting physicians with invasive CT procedures, and maintaining safety and quality standards. The position requires operating CT equipment, administering contrast media, and ensuring accurate imaging for interpretation.
Job Details
- Schedule: Nights, 10 hours shifts, Monday through Thursday, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Associates degree in Radiologic Technology from an AMA approved school, registration by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) in radiography and CT, current licensure requirements with the state of Ohio, and annual CPR certification or When Seconds Count certification.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with GE VCT and GE Revolution CT equipment, and at least two years of experience in a diagnostic imaging setting.
- Responsibilities include performing diagnostic CT examinations, assisting with invasive procedures, preparing examinations for interpretation, maintaining radiation safety, operating CT and related computer systems, administering oral and intravenous contrast media under physician instructions, and participating in quality assurance activities.
- Additional Information: The technologist must transport, move, and position patients safely and assist physicians with procedures involving CT imaging. The role involves analyzing examinations for quality control and documenting procedures in compliance with protocols.
